Sentences you will meet again
Once you've seen a sentence, it comes back 1 · 3 · 7 · 16 days later. Spacing out the reviews is what makes it stick.
You are not memorizing alone
There's no shortage of vocab apps. What makes ViaTalk different is having someone nearby who'll actually use the sentence you just learned. The Atovia community runs across 24 countries at the same time. Post today's sentence on that country's board exactly as you learned it, and a native speaker will reply.
One sentence a day
Every morning, one sentence arrives. Not a word — a sentence you can use right away — so you end up using it at least once that same day.
Same sentence, 24 languages
Every language learns the same sentence. Whichever country's board you wander into, what you learned today works there.
The community is the practice ground
It does not end inside an app. Write a real post or comment with what you learned, and that is your review.
Pronunciation by ear
You listen to a native speaker and say it back. Read it and move on, and your mouth will not open when it counts.
Keeping the streak
It counts the days for you. Miss one and you can pick it right back up. Quitting because it stopped being perfect is the real waste.
A load you can carry
Five minutes a day. Do more if you want to, but five minutes finishes the day's work.
