Life Time Growth Plan

Fall prep plan, need input

Summer’s basically over here and my skin already knows it haha.

Every year around this time it starts. The last three falls have been rough on me… dry patches on my hands and behind my knees first, then it spreads if I don’t catch it early enough.

This year I actually want to get ahead of it instead of just reacting once it’s already bad. Here’s roughly what I’m doing for the next few weeks.

Moisturizing twice a day no matter what, even on days my skin looks totally fine.
Switching from hot showers to lukewarm, starting this week.
Running a humidifier at night once it drops below 40% in my apartment.
Cutting showers back to once a day instead of twice (I know, I know).
Keeping a little notebook of what I eat and do the day before a flare shows up, just to see if theres a pattern I’m missing.

I’ve been in a decent maintenance stretch since spring, skin’s been calm for a few months now, so I really don’t want to lose that ground once it gets cold and dry again.

Thing is, I always start strong for like a week and a half and then get lazy about the moisturizer, especially at night when I’m tired. That’s basically what wrecked me last October if I’m being honest.

For those of you who’ve been through a few fall transitions already… how do you actually stick with a routine once things get busy? Do you set reminders, keep the lotion somewhere obvious, something like that? Kinda don’t want to repeat last October again… any tips?
