Switched to the fragrance-free wash a while back and still can’t tell if it actually helped or if it was just a quieter stretch at work. Hands were bad again after a long day of typing, red across the knuckles by the time I logged off, worse than the neck patch has looked in a while. Wrote it down before bed like I’ve been doing –
– wash: fragrance-free, no lotion after
– laundry: same detergent as always
– sleep: rough, on and off
– work: deadline stretch, typing most of the day
Reading it back I still can’t separate stress from the wash from the detergent from just typing that much. The notebook keeps me honest about the pattern even when it doesn’t hand me the reason. Kept it up anyway. Baked a loaf over the weekend and my hands were fine the whole time, flour and all, so maybe it really is the keyboard doing something the mixing bowl doesn’t.
