Switched to a fragrance-free wash 2 weeks ago and wanted one day where I didn’t change anything else at the same time, so today I kept the same laundry detergent, same sheets, didn’t touch that new hand cream I’ve been eyeing.
Commute was the usual 90 minutes each way, typed most of the afternoon for a report due Thursday, and by 4pm the skin on the back of my hands was doing that tight, raised thing again, same spot as always, right over the knuckles.
Neck was actually fine today, which is the part I still can’t figure out, since the stress felt about the same as most Tuesdays.
Didn’t scratch at my desk this time, ran cool water over my hands instead once I noticed it starting around 2pm. Baked a loaf after work like most weeknights, hands were fine with the dough, no reaction there, so it’s not the flour.
Writing this down before I lose the timing again.
