Body Time ›Daily Routine

took it slow outside

Starting this up again after letting it slide for a while.

Shift today had me standing almost the whole time, and my legs did that heavy, swollen thing by the end, same as always. Never found anything that really helps, just elevate and wait it out.

Went out once I got home anyway. Kept the run short and slow, more walking than running if I’m honest. Just trying not to quit again before I even get started.

Evenings have been tight between work and appointments with my mom, so there’s not much room left for myself most days. Tonight I made the room.

What I did today:
– stood the whole shift, legs swollen after
– short slow run, mostly walking
– skipped the usual nap instead

Legs are propped up on the couch as I write this…

OP said: same shift, same swelling, every time. I used to think it was my shoes until I realized it’s just hours on hard floors. Lacing up after a day like that instead of collapsing on the couch is its own kind of win. Evenings disappear fast when there’s a parent to check on too, so making the room at all counts for something. Hope the legs ease up tonight.
