swapped the wash this week

Her skin’s still doing the same push and pull it’s been doing for a while now, but a few things shifted this week that felt worth writing down.

– swapped her body wash to a fragrance-free one, no reaction so far
– nights have been a little easier, might just be the humidity though
– same trouble spots as always, behind the knees and inner elbows
– moisturizer twice a day now instead of whenever she remembers

I started tracking our spending again this week (long overdue) and ended up logging all the skin stuff too, and once you add it up it’s honestly more than I expected! Not complaining, just noticing.

Doctor mentioned cutting back on one product at a time so we can actually tell what’s helping versus what’s just habit. So next week I think we try dropping the toner for a few days and see if anything changes. Doubt it’ll be dramatic either way but worth a shot.

How long has she been on the fragrance-free wash so far, out of curiosity? 🙂

The one-change-at-a-time thing is something my dermatologist said to me a few years back, and it still holds up, because when I swapped two products the same week I could never tell which one was actually helping. My inner elbows are the same spot that never fully clears here either, going on six years now.

The behind-the-knees and inner-elbow spots are so real, those two hang on the longest for me too no matter what else clears up. I switched to fragrance-free about four months ago and it took almost three weeks before I trusted it wasn’t going to flare things up, so no reaction yet this early is honestly a good sign.
