quieter scalp, same job search

9 days since I started tracking my scalp instead of complaining about it in my head. Flaking is down but redness is still there behind my ears and along the hairline. Switched to lukewarm showers only, no more hot water, and that alone helped the itching at night, from waking up 3 times to just once. Applied to 2 more jobs this week, still no callbacks, so that part of my brain is quietly stressed while my skin does its own thing. Started a new knitting project on Tuesday, just a plain scarf, but it keeps my hands busy instead of scratching my scalp when I’m anxious. Also reopened my budget spreadsheet after almost 2 months of ignoring it… apparently Ive bought way too many cleansers I never finish. Next week I want to try 1 wash a day instead of 2 and see what happens. Anyone else notice hot water making things worse, or is it just me.

The lukewarm shower thing really tracks with what I found too. I switched off hot water about 4 months ago and it cut my night waking from something like 4 times down to maybe once, so seeing your 3-to-1 improvement in just 9 days is honestly encouraging.

the redness behind the ears and hairline is so familiar, that’s basically my (seb derm) map too, still hasn’t faded after 3 weeks of switching up my routine…
