6 weeks since we saw the dermatologist

Logging this week here before I lose track of it again.

Monday and Tuesday were rough. She was scratching in her sleep both nights, I heard it from the next room around 3am on Tuesday. Not fully awake, just rubbing her wrist against the sheet.

Wednesday she switched to the fragrance-free wash we’d talked about. No reaction that day at least.

Thursday was quieter. Elbows looked maybe 20 percent less red than Monday, though that’s just me eyeballing it, I guess, not anything actually measured.

Friday and Saturday were fine too. Scalp is still bad though, she keeps avoiding hats even with it getting colder here.

Sunday we finally checked the calendar and realized it’s been 6 weeks since the last dermatologist visit. Need to book another one, keep putting it off.

One thing to try next week: a notebook by the bed so if she wakes up scratching we write the time down right away instead of trying to remember it days later. By Sunday I couldn’t remember which night was actually worse, so figured writing it down might help more than another product swap right now.

At least for us the wash change seems to be doing something, though 4 days isn’t really long enough to say for sure.

Scalp still holding out while everything else calmed down – has she tried anything different just for that spot? 🙏
