Body Time ›Weekly journal

the timer actually stuck

2 months out from the exam and I’ve basically been glued to this desk chair, which is exactly the problem.

Set a 45-minute timer this week instead of just meaning to get up. Followed it maybe 4 times a day, stood, walked to the kitchen and back, nothing fancy. Neck’s still tight by evening but it’s not the sharp pinch it was last week.

Weekend hike helped more than the timer did, honestly (didn’t expect that). 2 hours on the trail and my shoulders finally dropped from wherever they’d been sitting all week. Knees held up fine too, which hasn’t always been the case lately.

One thing I want to try next week is stretching before I sit back down, not after I’ve already stiffened up. Kept forgetting that part this time…

Kids had me up before 7 most mornings too, so that was the only quiet desk time I actually got. Not complaining, just noting it.
