the standing timer’s back on

Fell off the whole routine for a bit. Hiking trip over a weekend, cert study eating my evenings after that, and the standing timer just sat there, didn’t even glance at it. Back to it this week though!

Desk mornings are still where it falls apart first, shoulders creeping up before I even notice. Reset the timer and actually listened to it most days this time, up and moving before the ache sets in instead of after.

Bedtime stretch still isn’t sticking. Kids go down, I go down too, nothing left in me for the floor by then.

Trail day with the family held up better than any desk day does, which tells me something about the chair more than the sitting itself.

Trying the stretch right after work next week instead of bedtime. See if that sticks better.

3 days here, way less than your 2 weeks. the desk mornings caught up with my shoulders almost immediately once I stopped checking it

The chair theory tracks – trail day holding up better than any desk day says a lot. Is it the chair itself, or just easier to catch the ache early when you’re not staring at a screen?

Probably more the noticing thing – on a trail you feel it the second it starts, at my desk it’s already 60 minutes in before I clock it.
