3 days now with the stool tucked behind the register during shifts, and my knees aren’t complaining the way they were last week.
Legs still ache by the end of a shift, just not the same ache. More of a normal tired, less of the sharp kind that used to follow me home and sit there through dinner.
Eczema’s stayed quiet this week too, no flare, no new patch anywhere. The only thing that hasn’t budged is my bedtime. The reading pile is heavier than the syllabus lets on, so midnight keeps sliding later no matter what I do earlier in the day.
Still signed up for the Saturday hike, still haven’t committed to the longer loop the group keeps bringing up. My legs held up fine on the short route last week, but I don’t know yet if a good shift means they’d hold up for the long one too.
One thing for next week: swap the stool in on both shifts instead of just the afternoon one, and see if that changes anything by Saturday.
