Opened the budget spreadsheet again today and I’m actually going to stick with it for 2 weeks before I touch the CD at all.
– rent, utilities, groceries each get their own line now, not lumped into “misc”
– film and processing in their own column so I stop guessing at that number
– nothing over $50 without sleeping on it first
Did this for about 4 days back in September before a heavy project week buried it. Typical! Probably happens again, but starting over still counts.
Checked the CD penalty again… not as bad as I remembered, but not nothing either. 2 weeks of real numbers beats 2 more weeks of guessing.
First entry: coffee, bus fare, one roll of film. Small, but it’s written down, which the last attempt never got to.
