the 30-minute rule from a random video

Been sitting at my desk pretty much all day since I went full WFH, and I never connected it to my skin until a coworker sent me some random ergonomics video.

Guy in it wasn’t even talking about skin, just posture and circulation. But he mentioned staying in one position too long makes your joints sweat more right where they bend, and that’s exactly where my flares always start first, behind my knees and inside my elbows.

So I started setting a timer for every 30 minutes. Stand up, stretch, walk to the kitchen, doesn’t matter what.

It’s been 11 days and the itch behind my knees hasn’t shown up once, which is unusual for me this time of year. Could be the mild weather too, honestly, but I’m keeping the timer either way.

Also been packing boxes for the move and noticed the same thing happens when I crouch over tape and bubble wrap too long without moving. Same rule applies there aparently.
