Been sorting my closet for the move and noticed how much of what I own is cheap poly-blend stuff.
Fell down a laundry video rabbit hole a while back, just looking up how to get sweat smell out of gym clothes, and the guy explained why synthetic blends trap heat against skin while cotton and linen actually let moisture move through.
That part stuck with me. I sit at my desk pretty much all day for work, and my arms get itchier on days I’m in leggings versus loose cotton pants. Swapped my gaming blanket to a cotton one too – less irritating against bare skin.
Now fabric content is the first thing I check before deciding what stays and what gets donated.
