Watched a random PT video on text neck last week expecting the usual sit up straight lecture, but the line that stuck was different, lol. She basically said:
“there’s no such thing as good posture, only posture you haven’t held long enough to hurt yet”
That flipped it for me, because I keep obsessing over sitting perfectly straight while I’m hunched over job apps or gaming for hours, when the real problem is just staying in ONE position that long!
What I’ve kept doing since:
– timer every 25 minutes, just to change position, not some big stretch routine
– moved the screen up so my chin isn’t tucked down all day
– roll my shoulders back whenever I get up for water
3 days in and my neck isn’t screaming by 9pm anymore, first small win I’ve had with this in a while.
