Was watching some home office setup video for a completely different reason, and the guy pulled out a hygrometer before turning on his humidifier instead of just guessing.
Never thought to actually check the number before, I just ran mine whenever my hands felt tight.
So I checked. 9am, heater already on since I got up, room was sitting at 28%. He said anything under 40 is basically desert air for skin, and I’m in that same room for like 8-9 hours a day working from home.
Half my stuff is already in boxes for the move so the humidifier’s been stuck in a corner instead of near my desk where it actually matters.
Moved it back today. Gonna keep checking the number instead of waiting for my hands to tell me first.
