Been prepping for a licensing exam and stumbled on a study-with-me video where the person kept pausing to write a short summary in their own words after every section, instead of highlighting or rereading.
Tried it this week instead of my usual approach of rereading the same chapter until it felt familiar. Takes longer up front, but I actually remember what I wrote without flipping back, which never used to happen.
Also picked up that closing the tabs and putting the phone away for that block matters way more than I gave it credit for. I used to think I could half work with something playing in the background since I’m home all day anyway, but it clearly wasn’t sticking.
Small shift in method, but the difference on practice questions has been noticeable already.
