No commute today either. Haven’t had one in about 3 years, since I started working from home.
Went out around lunch anyway, just to move before another stretch of sitting. Ended up on that long path behind the neighborhood, the one that curves so you can’t see where it ends from the start.

There was a woman ahead of me on it, walking at a normal pace, bag on her shoulder, like she actually had somewhere to be. Made me realize I don’t really have that anymore, a door I leave from and a door I arrive at. My commute is about 9 steps to the kitchen table.
We’re moving in 6 weeks, so most nights I’m going through boxes deciding what’s actually worth keeping. Same kind of feeling, figuring out what to carry forward and what to let go of.
She was already way ahead by the time I noticed. I just did my own loop and came back inside.
