Stood at the corner waiting for the light and just watched everyone cross in the same direction, probably all headed to the same nine buildings on that block.
I was the one going the opposite way for once, which felt weirder than it should for something I actually chose to do.
3rd interview since July, this one was at 10am, and I still showed up 20 minutes early because I don’t trust the subway not to pull something on the one day it matters.

Ended up just standing on the other side looking at the building instead of walking in right away. Told myself “five more minutes” a couple times before I actually crossed.
Everyone else kept walking past like it was nothing. For them it probably was.
