Stepped out onto the balcony for a break between insurance paperwork and everything else on today’s list.
The building across the way still has its rooftop plants holding up fine despite the heat, and the sky had that flat gray-blue that usually means rain later. You can actually hear how quiet it gets up here for a second.
Been buried in figuring out which policies are even worth keeping now, half of what I signed up for years ago doesn’t make sense anymore. Add grad school reading and a part-time shift on top of that and I forget to just stand still sometimes.
Stayed out there about 8 minutes longer than I meant to. Didn’t check my phone once. Went back in and got through the rest of the stack after that.
