stepped out for a quick walk to get away from job applications for a minute and caught this — some flag hanging off a balcony, kind of wrinkled and faded, half hidden behind a tree, the whole thing just sitting there in the shade like it hadn’t moved in weeks.
stood there longer than I meant to. wasn’t doing anything, just looking up instead of at another cover letter.
neck and shoulders have been wrecked lately from being hunched over the laptop all day between applications, so tilting my head back for once and just staring up at the sky for a bit felt like more of a reset than I expected…
