the invoice thing hit me, I had one sitting for 9 days last month and the second it went out I could finally exhale. eating at the table instead of hovering over the sink sounds so small but it’s not, it’s a different kind of night. glad you got the walk in before dark too!

Pretty often, yeah! Mostly when the light gets good in the late afternoon.

the sitting down part is the one that really lands for me, I’m on my feet almost my entire shift at the store and by the time I get home the last thing my body wants is to keep standing while eating over the counter. pulling out a chair and actually sitting down for dinner has become this small signal to myself that the day is over and not just paused for a few minutes.

I’d push back a little on tying the table dinner to the invoice going out, waiting to ‘earn’ something as basic as sitting down to eat just lets the desk run the rest of your evening too
