Hunched skies

Woke up on the wrong side of the shift again, and by the time I got to the kitchen the sky outside had gone that flat grey that can’t decide whether to rain or just sulk. Matched my mood, honestly.

Spent most of the morning hunched over my desk the way I always do, and my shoulders let me know about it before lunch was even over. Rounded them back a few times, held it, let go. ‘Small thing,’ but it counts for something.

Took a short walk instead of sitting straight through to dinner, which felt like a tiny rebellion against my own habits. Came back, made tea, and actually sat down with the book I keep meaning to finish this year instead of just carrying it from room to room.

Ended up back on the game longer than I meant to, the kind where you tell yourself just one more round and then the window’s gone dark without you noticing. Neck’s tight, back’s tight. Same old story, I mean.

Still stretched before bed instead of skipping it like usual. Not a huge change. Just one I actually kept today.
