Stalled front

Tried to actually follow through on that short list from last week, the stretching and the rest, and for about two nights it worked, then everything locked right back up like it never happened.

Neck’s been stuck on the same side for 3 weeks now. Same ache, kicks in right around 4pm at my desk and doesn’t let go until I’m flat on the floor. Did the stretch again tonight anyway, more out of stubbornness than any real hope it’d help.

Had that recruiter screening call today too. Nothing major, just the usual questions, but I realized halfway through that my shoulders were up by my ears the entire time and my jaw was clenched so hard it ached after.

Picked the yarn back up once the call ended, not to finish anything, just wanted my hands busy with something that wasn’t a keyboard or a phone.

Ocean Sunset

Gray kind of day. Nothing’s actually wrong, it’s just heavy the whole way through, the kind where nothing loosens up no matter what I try.

Stalled front is such an accurate way to put it. My shoulders crept up during a call 2 weeks ago and I didn’t catch it till after.
