My hands are worse than usual

My hands looked worse again this morning, and I wasn’t even surprised, because it happens almost every time I get a stretch of long days back to back, more typing than usual, answering the same few emails over and over because nobody reads past the subject line.

I’ve been keeping a little notebook of what I eat, how I sleep, and when my skin flares. Some days it feels like it’s telling me something. Other days I think I’m just writing my own worrying down in a different notebook.

The back of my neck is doing the same thing, worse on days I’m hunched over my laptop and don’t notice my shoulders creeping up toward my ears. By the time I get home from the commute I don’t have much left except to stare at my hands and wonder if it’s the stress or the detergent.

I baked bread this weekend so my hands would have something else to do besides scratching. It helped for a little while. Then Monday showed up anyway!

Not looking for fixes, you guys. Just needed to put this somewhere that isn’t the notebook.

The notebook thing got me because I keep meaning to start one and never do. How long have you been keeping track for? Also curious if the neck flares line up with the worst hand days or if it feels separate.

The neck thing hit me too, hands get worse after a stretch of long screen days and my shoulders end up near my ears without me noticing until it’s already sore. Mine flares hardest after 3 or 4 days of that same hunched posture, and by the time I get home there’s nothing left for lotion or anything else. Does the notebook ever tell you anything solid or is it still mostly noise for you too
