Redid the budget spreadsheet tonight and just sat there instead of finishing. Second interview callback came today, should feel good, but I spent the call scratching my neck and had to mute twice. Scalp’s been tight and flaking along the hairline for about 2 weeks now, nothing I put on it helps much. Picked the knitting back up after, hoping it’d keep my hands off my head, it didn’t really. Just tired of the redness being the first thing people notice about me…
2 weeks in, scalp still cracking

Muting twice mid-interview because of your scalp is a very specific kind of stress, at least the panel couldn’t see what you were doing under the table. Mine’s had the same tight flaky patch along the hairline for about 3 weeks now and knitting hasn’t fooled my hands either, so if you land on something that actually helps I’m all ears.

Same spot for me, hairline just won’t quit!

The redness being the first thing people notice really got me, a coworker asked if I was overheated on a call 2 weeks ago and I just said yes to end it faster.

The knitting not working really got me, I tried the same trick with weeding my garden plot thinking dirty nails would stop me from scratching but it just meant scratching with dirty hands instead. Mine sat right at the hairline too for about 3 weeks before it eased up, and there were nights I’d sit down to do reading for class and just end up picking at it instead of getting anything done.
