Woke up with my hands cracked open again and just sat there for a minute before getting out of bed. Haven’t had a flare like this since I was a teenager, so getting hit with it now, in my thirties, feels different.
It started on my knuckles a couple weeks ago, then spread to my wrists, and now it’s on my neck too, which is new territory for me! Between grad school deadlines and extra shifts I’ve been staying up way too late, so I guess my body finally had something to say about it.
The itching isn’t even the worst part, it’s washing my hands. Between the part time job and baking bread at home I’m doing it nonstop, and every time feels like starting the damage over. I put cream on right after and it barely buys an hour.
Nobody warned me this could come back like this as an adult.
