Still no email about that interview, 7 days now, checked my phone about every hour today for nothing. Sat with the yarn tonight since that’s supposed to help and ended up picking flakes off my scalp onto the black wool the whole time, had to stop and shake it out over the trash 3 times. Couch’s covered in little white bits now and I just left it there. Not asking what to do, just needed to get it out somewhere. Rough night, that’s all it is.

The waiting is honestly worse than the rejection itself most times. I had a stretch where I didn’t hear back for 11 days after a final round and kept checking email every hour just like you’re doing, and somewhere in there I ended up doing the same thing with a scarf I was working on, picking at my scalp without even noticing until the dark yarn was covered in white bits.
