Picked up a bookshelf off Marketplace on my one day off, finally had a real desk corner instead of a card table.
Two shelves turned out cracked under the paint, the guy just said “still solid though” when I asked. Ended up spending $40 on glue and brackets I hadn’t budgeted for.
Closing shift ran till 11pm, and when I sat down with my exam notes after, I just stared at the page. 2 months out and I haven’t opened the practice book in almost 2 weeks.
Shoulders have been locked up since Sunday from hunching over that same desk, and there hasn’t been one morning between shifts and readings to just stretch it out.
Every fix costs something else. Fix the desk, lose study time. Catch up on reading, lose sleep. Tonight it just feels like a lot, that’s all.
