Had 4 meetings back to back from 10am to 3pm today and didn’t get up once in between, not even for the chair sit-to-stands I’ve been doing most mornings lately, just sat there nodding on camera while my legs basically went to sleep under the desk.
Noticed it the second the last call ended, stood up and my knees felt like they belonged to someone else for a minute, and what actually got to me wasn’t the legs, it was realizing I’d been so careful about building this habit back up over the past couple weeks and one packed schedule wiped the whole day out before I even noticed it happening.
Nothing dramatic went on, nobody did anything wrong, I just let the day run me over and didn’t catch it until it was already done, which somehow sat worse than if someone had actually stopped me from moving.
