The drive home is about ninety minutes on a good day, and somewhere past the halfway mark yesterday I looked down and realized my thumb had been working at the side of my hand this whole time, not really scratching, more picking at the dry patch along the knuckle.
I couldn’t tell you when it started. That’s the part bugging me a bit. I can point to the call that set the tone though, one of those quarterly check-ins that ran way over, and by the time I noticed, the skin was already irritated.
Started baking bread again on Sunday nights mostly because kneading gives my hands something else to do, and it’s actually been helping more than I expected! Not fixing anything, just a decent distraction while I figure out what’s actually setting this off.
Noticing a lot of small patterns lately. Not all of them fun ones 😅
