still budgeting off my old salary

Realized tonight that my budget spreadsheet still has my old salary plugged in, not the freelance numbers I’ve actualy been living on since March. No wonder nothing added up right for weeks. Redid the whole sheet 4 times before the math finally matched what’s actually sitting in my account (getting hard to even remember what old me used to bring in). Half of it I did with a scarf in my lap, needles going while I waited to hear back from that interview from last week. Anyone else’s brain just keep running old numbers long after the situation’s already changed, like it never got the memo. Anyway, sheet’s fixed now, scarf’s coming along, and I’m just sitting here with the itch to check my email every so often.
