Got my 4th rejection email this week, the kind that comes right after 2 rounds of interviews, so I actually thought I had a shot this time. Sat on the couch for a while just kind of numb, then picked up my knitting because at least that’s something my hands can actually finish. Didn’t help much honestly. Is it too much to ask for a real reason instead of the same auto-reply about moving forward with other candidates? My partner keeps saying it’s the market and not me, which is probably true, but it’s hard to believe that after reworking the same resume for the 5th time. Opened the budget spreadsheet after and just sat there starring at the savings tab for a bit. Just needed to put this somewhere other than my own head tonight.
