Got another rejection email this morning, the 12th one this month, and just sat there staring at my inbox for a bit. Wasn’t even applying for anything fancy, just a decent admin job that would’ve covered rent with some left over. So generic too – “we’ve decided to move forward with other candidates” – feels like they copy paste that before even opening the resume, probably did tbh.
Been trying to keep busy so I don’t spiral – picked the knitting back up, reopened the budget app I’d abandoned ages ago, made myself a proper breakfast instead of skipping it like usual. None of that fixes the job search part though, just gives my hands something to do while my brain sits there being annoyed.
Mum keeps saying something will come along, which I know is meant kindly but it’s starting to feel like background noise at this point. Just needed to get this off my chest somewhere that wasn’t my own head.
