Anyone else have a coworker who means well but keeps asking about your skin every shift? Mine’s asked me the same thing 3 times this week, always right when I’m clocking in and trying to get my head straight before a 12 hour night.
I don’t mind explaining once, but by the third time I just want to grab my cart and go! I’ve only been off the steroid cream a few weeks now so half the time I don’t even have a good answer myself, it’s not like there’s a clean story yet…
I’ve started doodling a bit in the break room before shifts just to have something else to focus on, and it buys me a few quiet minutes at least. But it feels rude to brush her off when she’s just being nice.
How do you all handle a coworker like this without shutting them out completely?
