the word I kept writing down

Went back and read the notebook pages from this week.

Half of it doesn’t even make sense now.
One page is just the word “rent” written 9 times.

Unisex winter slippers crafted from cotton fabric in a combination of blue and gray hues.

I remember writing it though. That’s the part that got me.
Still mid-move, boxes everywhere, and apparently my brain just grabs one word and loops it at 3am.

Work picked up again this week, which should help with the money stress. The loop doesn’t seem to care that the actual problem is kind of solving itself already.

The cats weren’t much help either – one of them sat right on the notebook while I was trying to read it, like she had an opinion about the whole thing 🙃

the notebook thing hit me because my brain does something similar when i’m stressed, it just picks one word and won’t let go even after the actual situation starts easing up on its own. how many weeks into the move are you right now.

no move here, but my brain does the same thing 2 weeks before any deadline

the word loop thing got me, I did the same with a work deadline for 3 nights running. didn’t even clock it was happening until I read it back the next day

3am is exactly when mine kicks in too lately. does the cat sitting on it feel like judgment or is that just me reading into things

mine always picks the exact paper I’m trying to read too. not judgment, I think they just want the warm spot you’re sitting at.
