Had my 4th driving lesson today and my arms are still a little shaky as I type this.
Nobody warned me how much upper body it takes just to grip the wheel and hold position for an hour straight (felt more like three). My shoulders have been tight since my second lesson, but today was different, my whole upper back just locked up on the drive home!
I already know my legs are a mess from standing all shift at work, and now my arms are joining in too. Feels like my body picked this exact year to fall apart all at once.
The instructor kept telling me to relax my grip and I kept nodding, but my hands just wouldn’t listen, they clamp down the second traffic picks up. Spent the whole lesson gripping like my life depended on it and now I’m paying for it.
Not even mad about it honestly, just tired in a way I didn’t expect from sitting in a car.
