Knitting needle snapped right in the middle of a row tonight. Wasn’t even doing anything, just sitting there with the TV on and it cracked clean in half.
Pretty sure I’ve had that pair since 2019, so honestly it had it coming. Tried finishing the row with a chopstick for about 5 minutes before giving up completely.
Now I’ve got half a mitten and no project to hold onto for the rest of the night, which is more annoying than it sounds when your hands need something to do. Ordered a new set, should show up by Wednesday.
Also found an old grocery receipt stuck in my coat pocket, from back when I actually cooked dinner more than twice a week. Checked the date, it was from July, so I guess I’ve been wearing this coat around town for 3 months without once going through the pockets.
Still haven’t heard anything back on the job thing either, but that’s a different post. Just a weirdly random night all around.
