My son keeps waking up scratching his elbows raw in the middle of the night. I put a thick overnight cream on him before bed (not the daytime lotion), but by morning it’s like nothing’s even there and he’s up again. Between that and standing all day at work I’m running on nothing latley. Anyone found a cream that actually holds through the whole night?

putting a cotton sleeve over it around 9pm made way more difference than the cream itself, it actually stayed put till morning

the whole cream disappearing by morning thing sounds exactly like what happened with my youngest years back, thick or not it never made it through the night. what actually helped was reapplying right when I went to bed myself instead of waiting for his skin to dry out again, focused just on the elbows since that was always his worst spot.
