Got up early on a day off and actually went for a run for the first time in ages, felt fine for about 12 minutes, then came home to tomatoes that have been sitting unwatered through this whole stretch of nights and were already curling at the edges, and somewhere between that and a run of weddings coming up back to back this fall, something is going to have to give, because right now none of it is getting the attention it needs.

watching something wilt while you’re trying to take care of yourself at the same time is such a specific kind of rough, how long had the tomatoes gone without water before this stretch, because if it’s really just the one bad run they might surprise you and come back.

the tomatoes really picked a brutal week to need you, not gonna lie that line got me. I’ve got a run of weddings this fall too and houseplants are always the first thing to lose that fight in my place 🙂
