hi, new here

hi. new here.

started running about three weeks ago. nothing serious, just short jogs around the block after work.

my skin’s been pretty steady for a while now, so it felt like an okay time to try something new for myself.

I’m on my feet all day for work already, so my legs are usually swollen by evening… adding running on top of that felt like a weird idea, but I went for it anyway.

did my first weekend hike a few days ago too. slow pace, but I made it up.

glad to be here.

the swollen legs by evening thing, so relatable, standing all day too

    steady for how long?

  • → BareFacedBettyQuietBloomAuthor08.30

about 4 months now… longest stretch in a while

    aw that first hike!

  • SunKissedSoul08.30

    same, feels weird but good

running now too! how are legs holding up?

  • DewyDreamer09.04

started jogging 2 months ago, legs still ache

  • DewyDreamer09.04

how’d your legs hold up on the hike?

  • → DewyDreamerQuietBloomAuthor09.04

@DewyDreamer surprisingly okay, no worse than a regular shift. about 3 hours out, slow pace… didn’t expect that

  • DewyDreamer09.05

standing all day then running too, felt that

  • SunKissedSoul09.06

gonna disagree a bit… piling a hike on top of a shift where your legs are already swollen seems risky to me, mine only calmed down once I actually rested instead of adding more
