[Saved] switched from three apps to one notebook

Been juggling three things all month — his appointment dates, follow-up emails from interviews, and the moving checklist. Three apps, three different tabs staying open in my head all day.

Last Tuesday I grabbed the plain notebook that was already sitting around from packing boxes and just started writing all three in one place, by date. Not sorted by category, just whatever’s coming up next.

– his follow-up with the specialist
– callback about the lease
– confirm interview time

All on the same line if they land on the same day.

It’s held for 9 days now, which is honestly longer than I expected.

The part that actually worked wasn’t the notebook, it was giving up on keeping it neat. Half the pages are crossed out, arrows pointing everywhere (not proud of how it looks). Didn’t matter. The only thing I needed was not opening three screens just to remember what Thursday looked like.

Writing “feed the cats, call back about the lease, confirm interview time” on one line made the week feel like one life instead of three running at the same time.

Not sure I’ll keep doing this once things settle down. Probably will, honestly — I didn’t realize how much the switching between apps was costing me until it was gone.
