[Used] a lumbar cushion in the gaming chair

The lumbar cushion I got for the gaming chair is kind of a mixed bag so far. Picked it up because my back was ‘wrecked’ after a shift and then sitting right back down to play when I got home, basically no break in between.

For a stretch it did help. My lower back wasn’t ‘locking up’ by the end of a session, and I could get up without that stiff shuffle I used to do.

Lately it keeps sliding down behind me without me noticing, and I only catch it once I’m already slumped forward reaching for the controller. I shove it back every time I shift, but honestly I just give up on it partway through most sessions now.

Not sure if it’s the cushion losing shape or if I’m just sitting wrong around it. Has anyone else had this happen, where it slides out on you, and did you find a way to keep it in place, or just switch to something else?

Mine slides the exact same way and honestly I don’t think it’s the cushion losing shape, it’s just that the chair back is too slick to hold anything in place for long. I started wedging a folded towel behind mine too and it still drifts, just slower than before…

Same thing happened with mine, except for me it wasn’t sliding down so much as tipping sideways every time I leaned over to grab something off the desk. Started out great for the first stretch, my back actually felt supported through a whole session, but after a while I just stopped noticing it was out of place until my spine was already curved forward.

could be the foam flattening out, happened with a seat pad I had before

After around 3 weeks mine started slipping down the same way, I’d only notice once I was already hunched forward reaching for stuff ugh
